Retract!

Just got a call back from Andy! His official finish time is 10:04 am!!!! How crazy precise is that? 38 hours on the dot!

The plan at the moment is to pack up the car get it semi ready to come home. Head back to hotel. Shower and take a nap.

Andy said they would be ready to receive congratulatory phone calls by 5:30 / 6:00 pm.

Andy also said they are thinking after dinner tonight, they might actually want to get on the road to head home. They may change their minds, but hey what is another 9.5 / 10 hours, right?

Andy - you have now entered into a world with even less freaks than the IM crowd.

Congrats - does this mean you wont be at TT on tuesday :)

Hey All...Let's hear a big cheer for Heather and Merf. They were absolutely an integral part of "Team Sweet." We really appreciated all the calls, messages, etc. Helped pass the time so much.

Hey man, that was incredible! Can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories. Inspiring! Now you should do the Furnace Creek 508...

Hey all, thanks for all the support! These updates were great to read after I woke up from my 24-hour post-race sleepy stupor.

And, I can't thank my crew enough...Mick and Phil were absolutely amazing to have with me on this journey!! I owe them an aweful lot! As a sign of my gratitude, I even offered them first dibs to be on my RAAM crew... but the good men that they are, they declined saying that they would feel bad taking that experience away from others!

Anyway, I'll be posting a full race report in the next couple days which might help fill in the details from all the time between the updates from my crew.

What a crazy weekend...

Andy

I'd like to also throw in a "thanks" to my understanding wife Nancy, who played single mom for the weekend. Without her support and understanding, I wouldn't have been there supporting Andy!
